Directions by train or tube

From Farringdon Station (Thameslink, or Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines on the Underground) turn left out of the station and take the first left (after 20m) onto Turnmill Street (there is also a peak-hours-only exit from the north of the platforms which comes directly out into Turnmill Street).

At the top of Turnmill Street (200m or 50m) cross over Clerkenwell Road at the pedestrian lights, bear right along this road and take the first left (20 metres) onto Clerkenwell Green. Walk diagonally across the Green towards a garden enclosed by a wrought iron fence. This is the churchyard of St James, Clerkenwell.

Go up Seckforde Street for 20m, then half-left into St James’s Walk, which runs alongside the east side of the churchyard. The top of this street forms a T-junction with Sans Walk, and the entrance to Kingsway Place is at the junction of the two streets – you’ll see Kingsway Place from the moment you enter St James’s Walk.

Directions by car

Strathmore/Sans Walk has two parking spaces in the yard of Kingsway Place, which may be booked by a phone call to the office on 020 7324 0100. The only vehicle approach, because of one-way systems, is from Clerkenwell Green and up St James’s Walk (if coming from the east, you can turn into Aylesbury Street from St John Street, and then sharp right into Sekforde Street). If coming from the north, go south to the Green first, since the one-way systems preclude the apparently obvious routes.)

If there is no porter on the gate, you will need to contact the office on arrival to get the vehicle gates opened. Spaces are numbered; please park only in the space we allocate you so as not to upset our neighbours.

Don’t forget that we are within the Congestion Charge zone (payment can be done online from the Studio greenroom).

Directions by bus

Buses 55 (Oxford Circus, near John Lewis, to Hackney/Clapton) and 243 (Waterloo Station to Wood Green) both stop on Clerkenwell Road at St John’s Square; you can walk north through St John’s Passage to Aylesbury Street). Alternatively, 38 and 73 stop in Rosebery Avenue near Exmouth Market, only a little further away.
